Book Title: The Notebook
March 1 2015
Part1:

Question: When Allie decides o come down to see Noah, "one last time". Do you think se wanted to see him just to say good-bye, or was she secretly hoping to fall in love with him again? Was it even right for Allie, who had already agreed to marry Lon, to make the visit?

Predict: There are plenty type of guys. The female fantasy of a simple, honest, hard-working, romantic guy who is appreciative, supportive and good at conversation type of guy. I predicted that Noah who is a main character of the story is one of those typical guys that fit the description above. It was very predictable throughout the story that he was the type of guy who worships only one woman his entire life.

Reflect:  The novel is about the belief that true love never dies or dims, it remains with you through the thick and thins of life.
True love is eternal but some times memories fade away, because there is always something that is not in our hand, some circumstances in life we can't change or avoid. The love described in the story is profound.

Connect:  I can connect to this quote that Noah said in the latter part of the story by which moved me very much.

"
I am nothing special, of this I am sure. I am a common man with common thoughts and I’ve led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten, but I’ve loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me, this has always been enough..”

I know that I am not much of a person. I am not perfect, and I make a lot of mistakes. But the important thing about life is the learning, appreciation of things around you and given to you by our creator, and contentment. True happiness is within the person, once you have learned to love yourself only then you will be able to love someone unconditionally.

As a guy who is a fan of the novels of Nicholas Sparks, I admire each and every male character that he portray in his novels. If i were in Noah's place in the story, I would want to do the same for the love of my life.
